Pony Effect Everlasting Cushion Foundation [REVIEW]
Finally! I was able to get my hands on a Pony Effect makeup— Pony Effect Everlasting Cushion Foundation. I have been eyeing to try this since the day they announced its launch. Well, fine, a huge Pony Syndrome— a beauty blogger/vlogger and self-taught makeup artist from Seoul, fan here. But nonetheless, I still wanted to first-handedly see if it is worth the hype as it has been highly raved by most fans and beauty gurus alike.
Being a concealer only or foundation only type of girl, cushions were never my thing. But upon knowing all its benefits, I thought why not give it a try. If cushion makeup sounds new to you, here’s a little knowledge that might help. Cushion makeup/cushion foundations were Korea’s biggest beauty trend in 2016. Though, they don’t necessarily work nor give the same coverage as most foundations do, think of it as a lite version of this for it gives a sheer coverage and skin care benefits.

My take: Since this is the first cushion that I am trying, I can’t compare it with any other cushions yet. Thus, give my personal honest experience and opinion upon using it.
As you saw in the photos, the shade natural ivory is a bit too dark for my skin tone when I swatched it on my hands. But, that’s not really the case. I intentionally picked the second to the lightest shade with yellow undertone (fact: I always get the lightest shade as I have fair/light skin), because this has a brightening/whitening effect and ingredients. Besides, I don’t want to make my face look stark white. Also, Pony Effect’s cushion foundation is infused with Makeup Holding System that ensures skin-fitting and long-wearing function. That means it turned a few more shades lighter when I applied and blended it onto my skin, and it adjusts to my skin tone.
It has a medium (to full) coverage and was able to cover my dark circles. It doesn’t turn dark once it oxidizes which is a great thing to consider. True to its claim, it keeps my skin hydrated and radiant, stays long, and has a natural finish. Although, the Everlasting Cushion Foundation has a strong distinct scent which I dislike. It somehow smells like men/car perfume that also stays and lasts.
Not being a super fan of the dewy look, since some people would only mistake it as being oily, I set the cushion foundation with a little powder, but still trying to retain its moistful glow.
Weighing up all the pros and cons, this is still a great product to try, and I would definitely use it until it emptied out. I will recommend this if you have normal or dry skin like I do, since it is specifically made for those types of skin condition, and if the scent won’t annoy you.
