Essence Pure Nude Highlighter [REVIEW + SWATCH]
If you have dry skin like me, trust me on this— the right highlighter will save you from looking dull, all matte and boring, to looking glowy, dewy, and moisturized. Ever since I discovered the wonders of using a highlighter, I never go a day without applying it.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter – 10 Be My Highlight
This Pure Nude baked highlighter powder by Essence has been so popular among beauty bloggers and vloggers alike, so I decided to try it myself to see how it works.
Essence’s Pure Nude Highlighter only comes in one size and shade— 10 Be My Highlight, in a basic highlighter packaging: black case; transparent cover— very simple, yet compact.
When I first opened this, I thought it wouldn’t work as a great highlighter because it doesn’t look glittery nor shimmery straight from the pan. Thus, looks a bit satin and plain, although it was still too early to judge. I tried swirling my finger on the highlighter — and true to its claim, this baked highlighter powder feels ultra smooth.
I tried using a brush to swatch it on my hands— the product transfers well, very pigmented, no fallout. It has a bit of shimmer that’s just right for an everyday highlighter and it comes off rose gold/champagne colored.
If you want to see a demo, I used this in one of my videos here. This highlighter doesn’t look stark at all, and it’s buildable. It also gives that fresh, luminous, and natural-looking healthy glow on the face; has the right amount of shimmer without being too glittery; lasts all day. Definitely, a great everyday highlighter and a steal for its price point. ( Php 379.00 at SM Department Store / Watsons )
I’ve been using this as my everyday highlighter since the day that I got my hands on it. I would say— this Pure Nude highlighter by Essence is one of the best highlighters, if not, THE BEST drugstore highlighter that I have tried by far, and I totally recommend this to everyone!
